Medical visa- It is given to those seeking medical treatment in reputed and recognized hospitals or treatment centers in India since the advancement in the medical field varies from country to country and when it comes to health, everyone wants the best.
7.) What are the basic requirements while applying for a visa online?
A valid passport, meaning thereby, must be machine-readable, in good condition with at least 2 blank pages and at least six months validity at the time of arrival in India.
A working E-mail address to send the approved e-visa or notifications to.
A credit/debit card for making payments.

- Basic documents-
A clear recent passport size colored photograph of the applicant meeting the following requirements- The applicant’s face must be clearly visible and must have a white background.
A colored scanned copy of the bio page containing the photo and personal information of the applicant’s current passport.
- Additional requirements for-
Business visa- The business card must be uploaded along with the details of the Indian Firm/Company for business activities. The applicant can also upload an invitation letter from the company in India including the company's information, address, and phone number in India.
Medical visa- A Copy of a Letter from the hospital concerned in India on its letterhead which includes the tentative date of admission/treatment in the hospital mentioning the name, nationality, and passport number of the patient(e-Medical Visa applicant).
9.) What are the important points to keep in mind while filling the application form?
The applicant must fill all the compulsory details carefully and the personal details should match the ones on the passport.
Information about the date of arrival and departure from India must be provided along with dates and times of travel, airlines, and any other relevant data.
The applicant will immediately receive a confirmation regarding the submission of the application on the email id provided.
A reference number will be provided upon submission of the application to check the status of the application.
10.) How will the applicant receive an e-visa approval letter?
It will be directly sent to the email address provided by the applicant once the visa is granted. So make sure that the email id is active. The process can take from 3 to 5 working days for Ecuadorians.
11.) What is the validity of e-visa?
For tourist visa- The visa is valid for 365 days on a 1-year visa / 05 years on a 5-year visa from the date of grant of ETA with multiple entries and continuous stay during each visit shall not exceed 90 days or 180 days depending on Nationality. For an e-Tourist Visa of 30 days, the validity would be 30 days from the date of the first arrival in India. The arrival will be made within 30 days from the eVisa issued date. Double entries will be granted.
For business visa- It is valid for 365 days from the date of grant of ETA with multiple entries and continuous stay during each visit which shall not exceed 180 days.
Medical visa- The validity is 60 days from the date of the first arrival in India and triple entry will be allowed within the validity period.
Please note that the validity of the visa starts from the date of issue and not from the date of travel.
12.) What are the arrival and departure points?
The applicant may arrive at 28 Designated Airports or 5 Seaports. These are: -
28 designated Airports: - Ahmadabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi & Visakhapatnam; or
5 designated seaports: - Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai.
And may depart from any of the Indian Immigration Check Posts (ICPs)
13.) Other points to keep in mind-
Ecuadorians traveling to India must present their current International Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate irrespective of age. And the applicant can be returned or quarantined for 6 days in a health center for not fulfilling this requirement.
E-visa is not valid for visiting protected, restricted, or cantonment areas.
Indian e-visa can be applied for a maximum of two times during a given year.
Citizens of Ecuador should keep in mind that the e-visa is non-convertible and non-extendible.
E-Visa processing fee once submitted is non-refundable and is not dependent on either Grant or Rejection of Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).
Only two e-Medical Attendant visas will be granted against one e-Medical Visa (patient).
