eVisa Types

A. eNTRI Visa

Electronic Travel Registration & Information (eNTRI) is an online registration facility provided by the Government of Malaysia to facilitate the entrance of Indian Nationals into Malaysia under the Visa Waiver Programme. An eNTRI Note will be issued as proof of the registration and it is required to be presented upon arrival in Malaysia.

  • All Indian Nationals in India and expatriates residing all over the world excluding Singapore.
  • An eNTRI holder is entitled to maximum of 15 days for each visit. Each application can only be used once. No extension is allowed.
  • Upon completion, applicants are required to print out the eNTRI Note, which must be presented upon arrival in Malaysia. • eNTRI facility are available from 1 January 2020 until 31 December 2020.

Applicants with direct flight from India OR via Singapore, Thailand or Brunei may enter Malaysia through the following entry options:

  • By Air:- All authorized Malaysian air entry and exit points by Department of Immigration, Malaysia.
  • By land:- 1. Sultan Iskandar Building Immigration Checkpoint, Johor 2. Sultan Abu Bakar Checkpoint, Johor 4. Padang Besar Checkpoint, Perlis 5. Bukit Kayu Itam Checkpoint, Kedah 6. Sungai Tujoh Immigration Checkpoint, Sarawak 7. Tedungan Immigration Checkpoint, Sarawak
Applicants residing outside India (Expatriate) must have a flight ticket to Malaysia and must have a return flight ticket to India or other country if travelling by Air.



B. Tourist Visa (Single / Multiple entry):-

eVISA is an online application platform that enables foreign nationals to apply for an electronic visa to enter Malaysia at the comfort of your convenience. eVISA is available for the citizen of  China, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Serbia Montenegro. eVISA is vaild for 3 months while eVISA holder is entitled to stay up to a maximum of 30 days for each visit in Malaysia. Your application is subject to approval by the Malaysian Immigration Department or Malaysian Mission Office. Kindly be informed that in the event of suspicion, applicants may be required to supply further documents or be called for an interview or skype session with Malaysia Consulate / Malaysia High Commission / Malaysian Embassy. Instructions to Be Considered

  • The eNTRI visa is only available to Indian nationals.
  • eNTRI visa must be obtained at least 72 hours prior to departure.
  • The Malaysia eNTRI allows stays for a maximum of 15 days in Total with single entry..
  • The eNTRI visa is valid only for one single entry (you need to re-apply each time you want to visit Malaysia).
  • Each traveler’s passport must be valid for at least six months from the planned date of entry.
  • You are only allowed to apply for the eNTRI visa once every 3 months.
  • The e-Visa is valid for 90 days after issued. Its holder is entitled to stay up to 30 days Per Entryto Malaysia.
  • Chinese living in China cannot apply.
  • We recommend travelers apply for the e-Visa at least 2 weeks prior to their departure to Malaysia.
  • Each traveler’s passport must be valid for at least six months from the planned date of entry.

What should I fill in the "Address in Malaysia" if I am only transiting and not staying Overnight in Malaysia?
In the address of your application, you just need to fill in Malaysia's International Airport address. Additionally, you also need to give a cover letter explaining that you are only in transit and then upload the letter into your visa application.

Does my eVISA guarantee me to enter Malaysia?
The EVISA doesn't guarantee any entry as such because it is subjected to the approval of the at the Malaysian entry-exit points from the Department of Immigration Malaysia.
What are the documents that may be checked upon my arrival at Malaysia's Entry Checkpoint?
Some of the documents you need to check are:

Can I make the payment offline?

What is eNTRI?

You may apply eVISA as an alternative way for urgent visa processing. eNTRI Note is a crucial document, and you need to be ultra-careful with it; once wrong information is posted on it, you surely cannot change it. Hence, make sure that you put in the right information in one go only.
From which country am I required to depart for me to enter Malaysia by eNTRI?

If you are an Indian, you must have a direct flight from India to Malaysia and an immediate return flight ticket from Malaysia to India or via Singapore, Thailand, or Brunei by air or land. Some of the entry and exit points are :
